Lumwana
Mining Company Limited (LMC), a copper mining company owned by Barrick Gold
Corporation is situated in the North-Western region of Zambia, some 300 km west
of the Zambian Copperbelt and 95 km south west of the provincial capital of
Solwezi. The mine is a multi-pit, multi staged operation mining approximately
100MT of ore and waste per annum and producing copper concentrates containing
an average of 120,000 tonnes of copper metal per year over a twenty (20) year
mine life, making Lumwana the largest single open cut copper mine in Africa.
The Company is now looking for an experienced and qualified individual to be
considered for the position of Systems Coordinator.
Role
Summary
Reporting
to the Operations
Superintendent, you will be responsible for all Security
Information Systems such as Online Intelligence Systems, MS Track Pro, Security
Intranet Portal, Security document management and Information sharing
Your duties
will include but not limited to the following:
Responsibilities
· Design
and implement Security Information Systems Policies and Procedures.
· Ensure
compliance to SOX (Sarbanes Oxley).
· Develop,
implement and manage data security on Security Information Systems.
· Plan
and execute projects, providing the necessary diagrams, documentations etc.
· Effectively
troubleshoot system issues or problems as needed.
· Ensure
that viable disaster recovery and back up plans are in place for all Security
Information systems.
· Proactively
identify opportunities for improvement and offer viable recommendations.
· Mentor
and train new hires and existing staff as required in use of Security
Information Systems.
· Ensure
appropriate facilities, procedures, workforce competence to achieve legal
compliance, incident prevention and the achievement of tasks in an
environmentally sustainable manner.
Experience
& Qualifications
· Diploma
in any of the following: Computer Science, Management Information Systems,
Information Technology
· 3
years’ experience in security system management information such as, design,
implementation tracking, reporting systems including Surveillance Systems.
· Must
be a member of the relevant professional body in this filed.
· Detailed
knowledge of Microsoft Excels.
· Must
have programming skills in T-SQL, Crystal and SQL reporting services
