Treats Study Administrator

Zambart is a research-focused non-governmental organisation that conducts research on HIV and Tuberculosis to help control and mitigate the impact of the dual epidemic. Zambart staff form an interdisciplinary team with a range of expertise including epidemiology, clinical science, social science, laboratory, operations research, health systems and services research, health policy analysis, health economics, health communication research compliance and counselling. Zambart under the TREATS study has vacancies in the following positions:


TREATs Study Summary
The overall aim of TREATS project is to measure the impact of a combined TB/HIV intervention of population level screening for TB, combined with universal testing and treatment (UTT) for HIV, delivered over 4 years, on TB incidence, prevalence of TB disease and incidence of TB infection.

Responsibilities
Position summary
The primary role of the Study Administrator is to provide administrative support and leadership to TREATS staff and ensure project activities are carried out according to set objectives. This will include
§ Responsible for the administration of the grant ensuring regular liaison with the consortium partners
§ To supervise and provide administrative support to all study related activities
§ Compile programmatic and financial data from all consortium partners
§ To prepare Monthly, quarterly and annual reports
§ Prepare, monitors and revises study budgets.
§ Preparing essential study documents together with specific study coordinators
§ To provide other administrative support to other aspects of the study
§ Any other duties as maybe assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements
§ A degree in Health Sciences or equivalent
§ A successful track record in managing research projects and report writing
§ Experience in working with research partners
§ Experience in development of budgets and evaluation plans
§ Knowledge of rules and regulations relating to research grant and/or contract activity
